The Story So Far
We bet everything in creativity to save us, forming a raw, unripe, and uncontrolled musical force. That was way back in 2006...
Fast forward to 2023 — the restoration of The Magenta "wreck" began, giving flesh and bones to a long-lasting spirit. Since then, The Magenta has never stopped paddling, even through the toughest waters, stronger than ever.
And here we are, fellows... Listen responsibly — as it may cause addiction.
May Cause Addiction, is a story of transformation.
It is an excursion to the wild and rough landscape of the unconscious, just right where the conscious tries to take action. In and out of this grey zone. Traumas, misunderstandings, ambitions, false memories, behaviors, rituals, anger, fear, pain, violence, shame, and relief are jumping out of every corner of the album.
If we do not know ourselves’ history we are condemned to repeat it. Let’s get to know and accept who we are to reflect what we want to see in the world.
As Golden New says: “Now the pain is broken, you have blasted it, now you can go and grab your guitar.”
And here we are. We grabbed our guitars and we are telling you the story of this journey.
A journey that would never have happened without the catalytic help of George Priniotakis, Artracks Studios, Clyde Jabra, Manolis Giannikios, Marina Alexopoulou, Stella Goulinoudi , Pantelis Arnidis.
